Capital Hill Park

Capital Hill Park is a small playground located right at the top of Capital Hill in Burnaby. You will find it at the end of North Ranelagh Ave.

The backside of the park drops off towards a wooded area laden with paths and trails.

Street parking only.

As is standard, the site has two main structures supporting a set of standard monkey bars. The main structure is 3 levels with a swirling tube slide and a “storefront” in the base.

There are two small swings that look more like mini-hammocks rather than swings. Their supports only stand about 2 feet off the ground so the point of rotation is quite low.

The base is wood chip.

The key features of this site are the;
“Slider”
Swings.

Montana says she only likes the monkey bars. I don’t blame her; there really is nothing special about this site.

Jayton and Miguel like the swings. They ride them swings sideways like a motorcycle race

Mandela is fearless and has no problem climbing the platforms or the low-slung-swings

Me, I like the picnic bench. Optimally placed for maximum supervision.

Ciao for Niao
Jessel, Montana, Miguel, Jayton, Mandela
